Rumor: Nokia Plans to launch a Tablet running Windows 7 or maybe MeeGo?

svartling ™: Rumor: Is Nokia Planning To Come Up With A Windows 7 Tablet?:
While there aren't many supporting details, considering that Nokia's Booklet 3G used Windows 7, it's worth a guess that if it were to come up with a tablet device, it might just be powered by Windows 7 too.  Via

- Let's hope it will run on Maemo. That would be a lot cooler than Windows 7..

7:46 pm Stefan Ålund: Hmm, I'm a bit skeptic to it running Windows 7. I think it's more likely to be built on the newly announced MeeGo platform (merge between Maemo + Moblin): http://meego.com/ What kind of signal would Nokia send by not using its (own) latest OS that specifically intends to run on such devices.
7:48 pm svartling ™: Stefan: Yes I believe that too (I had forgot that they merged with Moblin :) ).
It's very likely that a Nokia Tablet would run on MeeGo (silly name).
8:21 pm Sebastian Sorri: Considering Meego, I too would have doubts re Win7. There are rumours of a Meego powered tablet that also runs Win7 though. Too good to be true?
8:33 pm svartling ™: Sebastian: A Multi-boot could be true though. But personally I think Win 7 is unnecessary because Meego would be so much cooler :)
8:36 pm Stefan Ålund: First announcement form MeeGo was pretty disappointing though, no UI at all! Maybe the fight of which UI to start with (Moblin or Maemo) got too wild :)
8:37 pm svartling ™: Stefan: Yeah maybe :) Personally I think Maemo's UI is quite cool and useful, so I hope they will build on that.
