ICD Gemini - Tegra 2-powered featured filled Tablet

Photo1.jpg

svartling ™: ICD's Tegra 2-powered Gemini is the most feature-complete tablet we've seen yet: Built around the 1GHz Tegra 2 SOC, the 11.2-inch ICD Gemini should provide comparable endurance to Apple's A4-sporting iPad, while besting it in the grunt stakes with its glorious ability to chew through 1080p video when required. If that wasn't enough, the rest of this thing's spec sheet reads like a wishlist. http://goo.gl/fb/PCB24

- The design doesn't looks so nice though. A bit thick don't you think? Found via http://twitter.com/gadgetsearch

11:06 am svartling ™: Specs includes a user-replaceable 40Wh battery, an SD card reader, FM radio, GPS, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, MicroUSB connectivity to PCs and USB peripherals, stereo speakers, and dual webcams -- a 2 megapixel front-facing unit and a 5 megapixel autofocusing snapper on the back.
11:10 am svartling ™: The screen has 1,366 x 768 resolution and the tablet runs Android.

You can even make calls over the 3G network! :)
11:27 am Jordi Soler: ...but it doesn't stand a chance against the iPad.
12:05 pm svartling ™: Jordi: Probably not because of Apples marketing and the fact that this tablet will probably not be sold all over the world.
12:10 pm Jordi Soler: That was my point precisely. :)
5:04 pm Tutivillus Grift: If the prices is right? I'd buy this in a heartbeat over the iPad.
5:19 pm svartling ™: Tutivillus: What is the right price then?
7:09 pm Tutivillus Grift: For this? $400. IMO these machines should cost less than a laptop.
7:15 pm svartling ™: Yeah that's true. We will probably see both cheap and expensive tablets in the future.
7:16 pm svartling ™: Oh, and that was a good price you think was the right price :)
